Reunited cats

The cats listed on this pageΒ show those that we understand to have now been safelyΒ reunited with their owners.

Some will have come home by themselves and some will have been helped by our website.

These may include cats from the 'Found Cats' page - where an owner has been identified by a cat that was previously considered, by a member of the public, to have potentially been stray, as well as cats who had been listed by their owner on our 'Lost Cats' page and have since been located or returned home of their own accord.

Whatever the circumstance, the volunteers at Lost Cats Brighton wish them all a very hearty welcome home.

Reunited message

Missing 14 days πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰
We are delighted to share the news that handsome Orca, missing from his home since New Years Eve has been found and is now back with his overjoyed family! We are so grateful to Michelle (and her lovely neighbours!), the caring lady who got in contact with us, after seeing an unfamiliar cat in her garden yesterday, she'd checked our website for any possible matches and found Orca, missing from nearly 3 miles away. πŸ™ We sent the photos Michelle had taken to Orca's owner, who immediately replied "That is my cat"! πŸ˜…
Michelle had provided shelter and a bed for Orca, in her garden (which he'd slept in last night) and had given him some food, so although he was nowhere to be seen this morning, when his owner rushed round, he thankfully stuck around and when she returned at teatime today, there he was sitting in the drive. Hardly able to believe it was him, his owner called to him, and then 'like a movie' they ran into eachother's arms! 😍
How Orca ended up so far from home we will probably never know. He is a timid boy and not the type of cat to climb into vehicles, most probable scenario is that he got spooked, lost his bearings (his echo location malfunctioned?! 🐳) and he kept going, as direction he travelled is a fairly straight line. Whatever happened, one thing we do know is that thanks to Michelle, one of our wonderful cat caring community, he is home, safe and warm, with his incredibly grateful family, where he belongs! Welcome home sweet boy! 🏑🐈 πŸ’ž
