The Rotyngs
Rottingdean, Brighton BN2 7DX

"Sylvester" is a handsome black and white cat, quite distinctive, with one black and one white front leg, missing from The Rotyngs, off Falmer Road, between Rottingdean Bowling Club and Recreation Ground, since early May. Sylvester has been regularly visiting a caring family there since 2021, first wary and nervous, sneaking in through the night, in the cold weather, then visiting more frequently as time has gone on. They had gained his trust, so were at the stage where he was more relaxed, would come in the house and allow strokes. They have grown very fond of him and were hoping that if he did not already have a home of his own, they could formally adopt him. However they have not seen him now for several weeks, so are concerned about him and would really like to try to find him, if possible. They have contacted several local rescues, so far nobody has seen him.

Captain Sausage is 8 years old and a very large, fluffy and friendly cat, but he can be quite scared of new people and places. He is very food driven and it's extremely unusual for him to miss breakfast, so owners are quite worried. He could be trapped in a garage or stuck somewhere as he has never gone missing before. He never goes out at night, and is mostly an indoor cat who occasionally goes outside to play with butterflies. Missing from Wilbury Road, backing onto Sussex Cricket Ground and Palmeira Avenue. He is neutered and microchipped.
