In memory of...
Banjo was one of Lost Cats Brighton’s typical strays – an unwanted and unloved tomcat who really didn’t enjoy life in a shelter with other cats and was quite particular with people too! We knew he wouldn’t be an easy cat to rehome, so we spoke with the lovely folk at Middle Farm, Firle and they agreed to try him out. Many of you may have visited Middle Farm and met him there. Ten years has flown and last week we received the sad news that Banjo had passed away. Rest in peace lovely Banjo from all of us at Lost Cats Brighton and our grateful thanks to everyone at Middle Farm for giving him a fantastic life.
Here is a tribute from Pat who works in the Middle Farm Gift Shop:
“Ten years ago you asked us to take Banjo, a black and white tomcat who needed a good home. He lived on the farm and in the Gift Shop and was much admired by staff and visitors alike. He was quite a character! He could be very grumpy and belligerent sometimes but also affectionate and kitten-like when he wished. The decision was made to have a vet put him to sleep last week as life was becoming hard for him, eating was difficult and he was deteriorating rapidly. He is sorely missed.”

We have had the heart-breaking news from Sappho's family that having been missing for a few months, they received a call from a Vets in Lewes advising Sappho had been found passed away. Our heartfelt condolences from all at Lost Cats Brighton.
