Date Found : TBA
Area Found : St Aubyns Road, Fishersgate
Details : We received the following email from a concerned family who have this little stray hanging around their home
A most beautiful tabby cat has decided to make my house her home. She started wandering in and my husband started to feed her She seems very well looked after and has a pink collar with glass stones and a bell. She is a very friendly cat and will come up to you but does not like being picked up.
She never seem to leave our garden for more than 10 minutes and sits on the back door step overnight . We are not in a position to keep a cat as we both work full time.
I have walked around the streets local to me to see if anyone has put up a poster regarding a lost cat but cannot see anything I have also looked on your website for missing cats but cannot see anything there either
I live in St Aubyns Road, Fishersgate and would appreciate your advice as what we can do as I do not want her to become too attached to either of us

Name : Tinks
Date Found : Summer 2010
Area Found : Ventnor Villas, Hove
Details : We received the following information from a concerned lady, about this lovely looking stray
We've seen this cat in the area for a year or two now but over the summer he's been sleeping in our garden / next door and helping himself to other cats' food. He is large, long-haired, mainly black/very dark brown with four large white paws and a white ruff and tummy. He has beautiful long white whiskers and has recently started to miaow at our back door so we started to feed him. He is desperate for food and miaows very loudly whenever there is food about. He seems quite young and has very white teeth. Sometimes he is very cautious around us and runs away. Other times he enjoys being stroked and has even rolled over onto his back to have his tummy rubbed. He has no collar & seems to disappear at nights (possibly unneutered male?) Ventnor Villas, Hove
Please, if you know who this handsome kitty belongs to, Please call us straight away,
Thank You

Area Found : Preston Park, Brighton
Details : We received the following details from a concerned lady
For the last few weeks a grey and white tabby with yellow green eyes has been visiting my home which backs on to Preston Park railway station. He seems to be getting thinner and has been raiding my cat's food bowl whenever he can - and trying to get in the swing bin too!
He is wearing a silver grey collar and bell but no name or contact details so I think he may be lost.
I have started feeding him as no one has responded to the note I taped to his collar.
I hope you can publish his photo in the hope he may be recognised and reunited with his owner.
Please! If you know who this adorable kitty belongs to, please contact us, Thank You

Date First spotted :12 May 2010 approx
Area Spotted :Clarendon Villas, Hove
Details : We received this email from a concerned cat lover who thinks that this cat may be lost
The large cat in the attached pics has been coming in through my cat flap off and on for the last couple of weeks. I live in Clarendon Villas close to the corner of Goldstone Road.
I have not seen this cat before this. He (?) has no collar, and is very defensive if I get too close. He seemed very, very hungry to begin with, not quite so much now as I have been feeding him when I see him.
It may just be he's new to the area, has a good home, but likes to raid other cats food supplies! Or, he may be lost. I don't know which, so I thought maybe you could put his picture up under cats found.
If no-one responds? I have two much smaller female cats already, so I want to avoid any cat fights. But if you decide it would be best for me to trap him so he can be chip-checked I can do that.
I'll keep feeding him unless I hear to the contrary.

Date Found : Autumn 2009
Area Found : Varndean Gardens, Brighton
Details : We received the following details from a family who have been feeding this lovely looking cat.
* Dandy was first seen in our garden which is in the Varndean Gardens area in Autumn 2009
* Since February 2010 s/he has been seen every day eating food put out for foxes
* After checking with neighbours we have been feeding s/he regularly with cat food
* S\he is very timid and doesn't try to come into the house but seems to be used to people & is getting friendlier
* Because we have two rather territorial cats and because Dandelion(Dandy) is looking more unkempt and is now being chased away from food by the fox, we think it's time to find a family home for him or her and, certainly to check for a microchip. It would be great if her/his family recognised Dandy on the website and they were reunited...here's hoping!!!

Area Found : Rotherfield Crescent, Hollingbury (near Asda)
Details : We received the following details from a kind lady who is feeding this kitty
"I am sending you these photos that I managed to take today. They are not very good as tha cat wouldnt come away from the food and one of my other cats kept hissing!! This cat turned up this afternoon in my kitchen as the front door had been left open. It is mainly black with a little white bit under its neck and 2 white paws I think. It is very undernourished and has a patch around its tail like something has been attached or tied to it. Its white paws were nearly grey like it had been walking a long time. It seemed very friendly but quite wary as well it also kept shaking its tail like it was trying to spray but nothing would come out!! It is quite a large cat but it's back legs are scrawny looking as were it's hips as well, which makes me think it has walked some distance. I am sorry that the photos do not show much but it was quite difficult to photo him. I will keep a watch out for him and if you think you can recognise him or possibly have a name I will try and put him in a basket "
So, if you know who this kitty belongs to, please call us straight away, Thank You

Date Found : 17 December 2009
Area Found : Ditchling Road - between Florence Road and Springfield Road
Details : This small black and white cat arrived with the snow on Thursday 17 December. She is currently residing at a kind lady's home. She is very friendly and is house trained. She does go out but doesn't venture far although she often climbs on their utility room roof and miaows at the bathroom window - they think she might have lived in a flat and be used to getting in this way. They think she is probably less than a year old. She might have come from a house with children because when they had small visitors over Christmas she was very calm. They are happy to look after her until an owner comes forward. Please if you know who this cat belongs to, Please contact us, Thank You.

Date Found : 12 November 2009
Area Found : Spencer Avenue, Hove
Details : This kitty has been visiting a ladies garden for a while now and was found eating bread and attempting to go through her recycling bin. So, the lady has been leaving food out for the cat being concerened that it is going hungry. She also recently attached a label onto the cats very old and worn red velvet flea collar, asking for the owners to call and put her mind at rest that the cat does have a home. Needless to say that it has been over a week now and the label is still there and there's been no contact. The lady has said she is happy to care for this kitty until the owners can be found. The kitty looks as though she is a slightly older female from the looks of the teeth.

Date Found : Mid June 2009
Area Found : Ditchling Road (Roundhill area)
Details : This kitty was first seen around mid June and was wearing a pink collar with a heart on it, but has now lost it. She is being fed and has been for about 3 weeks or so by the kind person who has emailed us. She now has a bare patch where her collar was. She may have a flea allergy. Her teeth look good so they don’t think she is very old, she comes to be fed every other day, she does not seem to like other cats about and seems to be more comfortable with female rather than male voices. Also seems to respond to foil food cartons so was probably fed with this. Please call us If you know who this kitty belongs to, Thank You

Date Found : Beginning of July 2009
Area Found : Mile Oak Road, Portslade
Details : This little kitty started to visit the home of a cat called Tabitha (Tabs) that unfortunately has now gone missing herself and who is currently sited on our ‘Lost’ page. This kitty seems to be a stray and began wandering in and eating Tabitha’s food and on one occasion they had a bit of a scrap and Tabitha ran upstairs in a panic but that was the only upset.
Since then Tabitha’s owners went on holiday having left family to visit and keep Tabitha company and their neighbour to feed her twice daily. Now the owners are back and have the double stress of not only having their much loved Tabitha missing but a stray that keeps appearing who they hope to help, find it’s owners. Do you know who this little cat is, if so please call us. Thank You
